USAWildwater News: Submission guidelines.

We need your help! Please submit news articles, information on upcoming events and wildwater races to the USAWildwater Webmaster.

If you do submit an article, please try to adhere to the following guidelines:

Make sure your news is newsworthy for the Wildwater scene.
Articles submitted to USAWildwater.com should cover events that are important to U.S. team members and those interested in wildwater racing. Race coverage, training camps, and industry news makes for especially good content, even on the local level. USAWildwater only accepts articles with events affecting downriver and wildwater racing.

Try to make your headline and lead paragraph cover the five "Ws" and "H".
Within a few sentences, please try to answer questions a reader might have about who, what, when, why, and how regarding your story. Use the "inverted pyramid" journalistic technique of writing about the most important facts first, and then include less important supportive information later in the body of your article.

Keep it short and sweet.
If possible, please keep your article to 1000 words or less.

Supply pictures and race artwork/logos!
Your story will be told much more effectively with photographs and imagery. They don't have to be perfect. Send your photos by snail mail (we have scanners) or email them as .jpg or .jpeg attachments. However, if you choose to email your images, please compress to at least 640 x 480 resolution.

All articles are subject to editorial discretion.
Submitting an article does not guarantee inclusion in USAWildwater.com. Articles may also be edited for clarity and length. However, any news regarding races, training camps, technique or any information affecting our sport is valuable and we encourage you to contribute. If you have any questions regarding whether your story would be included, please send an email to the USAWildwater Webmaster.
