Davey and Jennifer Hearn are the proud new owners of Sweet Composites, formerly John R. Sweet's
business for nearly 30 years.
John R. Sweet Co. in Mustoe, VA, closed in December 2005 and reopened as Sweet Composites in
Bethesda, MD, in January 2006. John founded the busines in State College, PA, in 1976 and has been
running it with his wife, Char, in Mustoe since 1989. They have now turned over management to David
and Jennifer Hearn but will remain involved in the background. They all expect a nearly seamless
transition but hope that our customers will cut Davey and Jennifer a little slack as they get
organized and work the kinks out.
Sweet Composites distributes composite boat building materials and outfitting supplies. Their new
warehouse is located in Bethesda, Maryland. Check out
