Last weekend, the senior US Wildwater Team competed in the sprint world championships in Solkan, Slovania. Emmanuel Beauchard led the team with a great result- 30th place, only 3.36 seconds behind the winner. Hugh Pritchard and Chris Norbury rounded out our K-1 men with 53rd and 59th place, respectively. Beauchard, Pritchard, and Norbury also raced in the K-1 men’s team competition, placing 15th. In women’s K-1, Marin Millar was our top placing athlete, finishing 29th overall. Elaine Campbell, in her first international wildwater race, placed just behind Marin in 30th! Marin Millar is remaining in Europe for the world cup races over the next two weekends, and the rest of the team is on the way home. Congratulations to all of our athletes!
