US Western Junior Team Trials Report May 4, 2013

Congratulation to the following junior level racers in their respective boat classes for having earned positions on this year’s US Junior Wildwater Team at the Western US Junior Wildwater Team Trials held on the weekend of April 20th and 21st in Glenwood Canyon on the Colorado River. Great thanks are owed to all of the racers and especially to the volunteer officials and safety management personnel that made this event a very successful one. K-1 Junior   Cully Brown, Durango Whitewater, Durango, Colorado David McConnell, Team Dawson, LaFayette, Colorado Reed Hutton, Jackson Hole Kayak Club, Jackson Hole, WY K-1W Junior   Brooke Terkovich, Jackson Hole Kayak Club, Jackson Hole, WY C-1 Junior   Will Coggan, Team Dawson, LaFayette, Colorado Bryant Lord, Team Dawson, LaFayette, Colorado Ethan Putnam, Team Dawson , LaFayette, Colorado C-2 Junior   Cully Brown and Will Coggan (see above ) These athletes will be joined by Bryson Popp (C-1 Junior) and Selena Popp (K-1W Junior) earned their positions on the team at the Eastern Junior Team Trials at the US Open in March. The US Junior team will be racing on the challenging waters of the Lofer, Austria course this July.
