East Coast Junior Team Trials
Team Selection
March 28, 2011 -- Marietta, GA
The USA Wildwater Eastern Junior Team Trials were held this weekend in conjuction with the US Open on the Nantahala River in Bryson City North Carolina. The Nantahala Outdoor Center does an incredible job of running their races, and this weekend was certainly no exception.
Congratulations are in order to the following athletes who earned berths on the 2011 USA Wildwater (Junior) Team and the right to race at the 2011 Junior World Championships in July in the Czech Republic:
- K-1W: Haley Popp - Chattanooga, TN
- K-1: Michael Autenrieth - Seattle, WA
- K-1: Elliot Bertrand - New York City, NY
- C-2: Alex Sumida/Bryson Popp - Chattanooga, TN
The remainder of the 2011 Junior World Championships Team will be selected at the Western Junior Team Trials on April 16-17 in Glenwood Springs, CO.
