The Southeastern Whitewater Championships and The Southeastern Canoe Club Challenge

July 20, 2010 -- Bryson City, NC Thanks to the efforts of the Nantahala Outdoor Center, with support from the Georgia Canoeing Association and the dedication of several folks (like Wayne Dickert, Chris Hipgrave, and Roger Nott) one of the longest the longest continuously held whitewater races in North America, the Southeastern US Wildwater Championships, will live on to celebrate it's 42th anniversary on August 14th. In order to generate the most interest among all types of boaters and from "old timers" to "new comers", the event will be tied to the Southeastern Canoe Club Challenge being hosted by the NOC.
