December 14,2009 -- Bryson City, NC

The 2010 NRC Glacier Breaker Wildwater race will be held Saturday February 27th in conjunction with a weekend long Team Trials Training Camp. (IMPORTANT: The Glacier Breaker Wildwater race is being held a week after the Glacier Breaker Slalom race.)

The Glacier Breaker is a classic only race starting at the Ledges and ending at the NOC. The fastest times will be around 20 minutes and everyone is encouraged to participate regardless of boat type or fitness level. This is a perfect tune up race for the Team Trials being held on the same river the following month. The Team Trials training camp will start immediately following the race awards ceremony and we'll use the opportunity to familiarize ourselves with the two Team Trials courses and their complexities.

There will be a modest registration fee for the Glacier Breaker race. The Team Trials Training Camp is free of charge. Race registration will only be available at River End Restaurant at the Nantahala Outdoor Center from 9-10:30 am. The race will start at the Ledges at 11:30 am sharp. Race day volunteers appreciated.
