The 41st annual Southeastern Downriver Championship race will take place on Sunday September 27th, 2009 on the
Nantahala River, in Wesser, North Carolina. The race will be mass start and will commence at 10:30am sharp and
will run the full 8.2 miles from the rafting put-in just below the Duke Power powerhouse to "Finish line Rock"
just upstream of the Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC). There will be the usual classes and everyone is encouraged to
participate. If it floats, you can race it!

9:15 - 10:15am - Race Registration & bib pickup : Nantahala River upper rafting put-in
10:30am - Race Starts : Nantahala River upper rafting put-in
12:30pm - Results/Awards : NOC Guest Appreciation Festival stage
The Downriver Championships will be held in conjunction with the NOC's Guest Appreciation Festival which will
feature the used gear sale, gear marketplace, blowout deals, games, clinics and contests, live music and the
International Whitewater Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Plenty of fun for the whole family!
