An exciting international race is coming to the United States for the first time and, more specifically, the Carolinas! The 2007 ICF Junior Wildwater World Championships will take place July 17-21, 2007. This race will bring in 15 Federations from across the world and 80 athletes for many hearty and exciting races in 1 man kayaks, 1 woman kayaks, 1 man canoe, and 2 man canoes. They will participate in individual and team performances. These athletes will race in a 3 mile classic race on the Saluda River in Columbia, SC near the Riverbanks Zoo on July 17, 18 and 19 and a short sprint race on the Wilderness Channel at the US National Whitewater Center in Charlotte, NC on July 20 and 21.
