The USA Wildwater Committee of the USA Canoe/Kayak Team (WWC) salutes outgoing board member Chris Hipgrave. Chris has served on the WWC for the better part of a decade and has been a major force behind the growth of our sport over the past few years. In addition, he is a many time Team Member, National Champion, race organizer, coach and mentor of Wildwater. Chris was honored a "Wildwater Volunteer of the Year" in 2005. While will miss his leadership on our board, Chris will continue to be a participant and friend of Wildwater in the upcoming years as he serves the racing community as the USACK High Performance Director (of Olympic Sports).

Ben Sandiford will move from his current position as Treasurer into the position of Events and Programs Director (the position that was previously held by Chris Hipgrave). This is a logical move as Ben is helping to direct the 2007 Carolina Junior Worlds. His experience and leadership in this area is sorely needed.

David Jones will move from an "At Large" position on the WWC to the Treasurer. Over the years, David has served as a fundraiser and board member of several organizations including Wildwater. We look forward to utilizing his experience and leadership. David is also a seven-time National Champion and has won two medals in international competition (including a bronze medal at the Master's World Championships in 2006).

The WWC will be conducting a search for an "At Large" member to fill the position vacated by David Jones and a 2007 Team Manager.
