Team Trials and Nationals Venues

We are extremely pleased with our venues for 2007 Team Trials and Nationals. All of our bids were outstanding! And the venues that were not chosen are working together to provide regional races as appropriate.

2007 USA Senior Team Trials - April 14-15:
Wilderness Voyageurs of Ohiopyle, PA has been selected to host the Sr. Team Trials on the Youghiogheny on April 14-15. The Sprint is planned for Entrance and Cucumber rapids. The Classic race is planned for the lower half of the river. 2007 Eastern Junior Team Trials: - March 31-April 1
The Nantahala Racing Club was selected to hold the Eastern Team Trials on March 31-April 1 2007 as part of the US Open. The race will be scheduled to maximize participation with slalom racers. For more information contact the NRC, www.nrcrhinos.com or Chris Hipgrave, hipgrave.chris@gmail.com.

2007 Western Junior Team Trials: - June 1-3
Durango Whitewater will host the Western Jr. Trials on the Animas in Durango, CO. The planned dates are June 1-3. The Sprint and the Classic are planned through Smelter, with the Classic ending further downstream. For more information contact Helen Kunz, jctcreekcanvas@frontier.net.

2007 USA National Championships - August 24-26:
Zoar Outdoor, has been awarded the bid for the USA Nationals on the Dryway Section of the Deerfield River in Western Massachusetts. The dates are August 24-26. There will be a water release on Friday for training with Saturday and Sunday being the race days. Zoar Outdoors will also recognize Juniors, Masters and Grand Masters classes.
