Results from the USA Wildwater National Championships

It was a great weekend (May 3-4) for the USA Wildwater National Championships. There was good water on the Cheat River (Narrows) and a good turnout. Thanks to Chris Norbury for organizing the event and for the volunteers who made it go so smoothly. We had 20 competitors in attendance for the Sprint race on Saturday and the Classic race on Sunday morning.

A message from Jeremy Rodgers, our fundraising chairman:

Please copy and paste the following into an email to your 10 closest paddler friends and family. I got 5 of my family members to make all biz purchases through igive.com just with my email to them this week. We are at 10 active paddlers using it and it needs to grow to 50 simply by paddlers reaching out to their friends and family that support the passion. Casual requests have passed...we need 50 paddlers using it by mid summer.

Thanks all!
Jeremy

Hey friends and family,

Help my favorite cause, USA Wildwater, every time you shop online. The iGive Button makes it simple. It's all free, takes 3 minutes to setup, and is so easy to be socially-conscious! Amazon donates 1% of every purchase to USA Wildwater and once you install the browser link on your browser, it takes 2 seconds to raise money for USA Wildwater with every purchase. (Many other companies also make donations via iGive.com).

The stores make this possible because they want you to like them and shop at them over and over again. There's 1449 socially-responsible stores helping to make donations happen.

I hope you'll give it a try. Here's the link: www.igive.com/t4LjMFa

Select USA Wildwater as "your cause" you want to support and then you just click on the igive.com link on your Internet Explorer or Firefox/Chrome/Safari browser every time you go to Amazon.

This program raises almost half of our budget to send paddlers abroad to race internationally as well as foster development programs for juniors, seniors and masters programs in the US! We are currently creating about $30/month in the first few months of the program with only initial 10 paddlers. If each paddler had 5 family or friends using the same igive.com program, we'd raise over $300/month. If those same 10 paddlers each had 10 family members using igive.com program, we'd raise over $600/month and the sport would become self sustaining and produce the best wildwater paddlers in the world. Funding is always segue to development and finally results.

Set it up in minutes today!

I make all of my business purchases through Amazon.com via igive.com link and raised over $300 last year for USA Wildwater!
