In the news: 2013 US Wildwater National ChampionshipsThe Nationals will be here before you know it!! The races are on Friday, September 6 (Classic Race) and Saturday, September 7 (Sprint)on the Nantahala River near Bryson City, NC. These dates and the venue coincide with the 2013 ICF Freestyle World Championships. This is an amazing opportunity for USA Wildwater to gain international exposure. (See http://www.usawildwater.com/news/2013/2013-NRC-Wildwater-Nationals-B2.pdf for the latest news on the Nationals.)Online registration for the US Wildwater National Championships is now open at https://www.regonline.com/2013WildwaterNationals. There will be onsite registration as well, but its going to cost a whole lot more and there will be no event merchandise or guarantee of a parking pass. Chris Hipgrave has also put together a video preview of the Sprint course for the Nationals. You can view it at www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Jqv3o86rbHg. The 2014 Eastern Wildwater Team Trials will be part of the 2013 National Championships. As mentioned in the July e-Zine, the 2014 USA Wildwater Western Team Trials will be held in Colorado in late April, 2014. The specific date and location will be determined soon.
