Dear Wildwater Racers and Friends:

The US Senior Wildwater Team is leaving for the World Sprint Championships that will take place in Solkan, Slovenia on June 14-16. Best wishes to those who will be representing the USA - Emmanuel Beauchard, Chris Norbury and Hugh Pritchard (K-1 Men); Marin Millar and Elaine Campbell (K-1 Women). Sorry to hear that Mark Wendolowski will not be going because of an injury. You can learn more about each member of the Senior team at http://www.usawildwater.com/athletes.html. The same page includes the information that I have for each member of the Junior Team. The juniors will be representing the USA in the Junior Wildwater World Championships in Loefer, Austria on July 9-13. More information about both events can be found on www.USAWildwater.com.

We also have news from Chris Hipgrave about the US Wildwater National Championships which will be held on the Nantahala River on Thursday and Friday (September 5-6). The Wildwater races will be held in conjunction with the 2013 Freestyle World Championships so there will be a lot of exposure to Wildwater racing that week.

Thanks to Tom Wier for the information that he provided about the Salmon LaSac downriver race that was held during the first weekend in June. The results of that race and a few others have already been factored into the current 2013 US Wildwater Rankings. You can see the rankings at www.usawildwater.com/news/2013/current_rankings.pdf and find which races are included in the rankings by viewing our calendar at www.usawildwater.com/races/2013_Calendar.pdf. The races for which I have results are flagged with an asterisk (*) in the second column.

You will also notice that there are several races on the calendar that supposedly orrurred and are not flagged. Please let me know where I can find the results for those races and I will add the results to the rankings.
