Dear Wildwater Racers and Friends:

This will be the last e-Zine before the 2012 USA Wildwater National Championships on May 25-27 in Jackson, Wyoming. The first article contains important information for all athletes and attendees. It also includes a link to the promotional flyer for the event.

It also won't be long before the World Cup series (May 25-27 in Kraljevo, Serbia and June 1-3 in Banja Luka, BIH) and the Wildwater World Championships on June 23 - July 1 in LaPlagne, France. Our senior team has been training hard for these races. See Jennie Goldberg's article for more about the US Wildwater training camps.

Next, we have news about the US Wildwater Western Junior Team Trials that were held in conjunction with the Glenwood Wildwater Jubilee. This was the second event in the Colorado High School Cup series. (The first event in the series was held in Durango.) Thanks to everyone in Colorado for sending me articles and photos for these races.

Thanks to Mark Wendolowski for sending me links to the results of several downriver races that were held in the Northeast. I will be updating the "current" 2012 US Wildwater Rankings as I have time. You can see which races are already included in the rankings by looking for an "*" in the second column in the calendar at www.usawildwater.com/races/2012_Calendar.pdf. (The link to the current rankings is near the bottom-right of the USAWildwater.com home page.) Send me an email if you know about a downriver race that is not on the calendar.
