Dear Wildwater Racers and Friends:

I received a great article from Denny Adams on the "Lost in the Desert Wildwater Camp", which was held during the last week in March in the Moab, Utah area. It's really good to hear that Wildwater is alive and well out west.

The next major event on the Wildwater calendar is the Glenwood Wildwater Jubilee and Western US Junior Wildwater Team Trials on April 20-22. It looks like this is shaping up to be another well attended event.

The US Wildwater National Championships are being held in Jackson Hole, Wyoming on May 25-27 (in conjunction with the Wyoming Whitewater Championships. Brent Tyc, the event director, and Jeremy Rodgers have been hard at work on the publicity for this event. See their article in this e-Zine for the details, and make your plans NOW to be there.

There were 3 races and 2 training camps on the Wildwater calendar during February and March. I received the results for all 3 races (the Glacier Breaker, Cedar River Race and US Open/Eastern Junior Team Trials, but NO articles about them. I also received no news about the 2 training camps that were supposed to be held on the Nantahala and in the Atlanta area.

Jack Andraka (K-1 Men) and Selena Popp (K-1 Women) were the only junior athletes to compete in the Eastern Junior Team Trials. I know that the Junior Wildwater World Championships are not until 2013, but that is no excuse for not having more junior athletes participating in our events this year. They need the exposure to competition.

I sure hope that I receive more news for the next e-Zine.
