Dear Wildwater Racers and Friends:

The USA Wildwater Championships are less than a month away (June 14-18 in Salida, Colorado). The FIBArk organizers are hosting "The Nationals" and it is shaping up to be a world-class event. The Nationals includes Sprint and Classic training camps, the Nationals Sprint and Classic races and an Open Head-to-Head Sprint race. The first article in this e-Zine includes the current Nationals schedule of events and registration information.

The Nationals is only part of the FIBArk Whitewater Festival. Check out the second article for a complete schedule of all FIBArk activities.

The 2011 Lyons Outdoor Games (including a Downriver Race) will be held on June 10-12, the weekend before FIBArk,) in Lyons, Colorado. Details about the Downriver Race can be found in the related article below.

Thanks to Tom Popp for the last article announcing the 2011 US Junior Wildwater Team. Tom's article identifies the athletes who will be representing the USA in the 2011 ICF Wildwater Junior World Championships in the Czech Republic this summer. Doug Richie of Seattle, WA and Tom Popp of Chattanooga, TN will lead the Junior Team when they arrive in Opava and are the Junior Team's coaches and Team Managers.

All of the 2011 Junior and Senior Wildwater Team members are included in the "Athletes" page at www.usawildwater.com/athletes.html. Photos and additional biographical information is available for all athletes who sent me the information. If you are one of the athletes who did not send me any photos or info, or you know the email address of one of those athletes, please send me an email so I can contact you to get the information and photos.
