April is going to be a busy WILDWATER month - starting with the Pacific Northwest Training Camp on April 7-10, followed by the Glenwood Wildwater Jubilee & Western US Junior Wildwater Team Trials on April 16-17. See the articles in the first two links for more about each of these events.

We also bring you news about the French Broad River Classique Canoe & Kayak Race scheduled for April 23-24.

Jack Ditty has also provided an important update for the Senior Wildwater Team Trials. The dates for this event are October 15-16. See Jack's article and the link in it to the official website for the Senior Wildwater Team Trials.

The last 3 articles are about the US Open & Wildwater East Coast Junior Team Trials that were held on March 26-27 on the Nantahala River. Congratulations to the following athletes who earned berths on the 2011 USA Wildwater (Junior) Team and the right to race at the 2011 Junior World Championships in July in the Czech Republic:

• K-1W: Haley Popp - Chattanooga, TN
• K-1: Michael Autenrieth - Seattle, WA
• K-1: Elliot Bertrand - New York City, NY
• C-2: Alex Sumida/Bryson Popp - Chattanooga, TN

The remainder of the 2011 Junior World Championships Team will be selected at the Western Junior Team Trials on April 16-17 in Glenwood Springs, CO.
