Dear Wildwater Racers and Friends:

Two more weeks until the U.S. Senior and Eastern Junior Team Trials

The first article in this E-zine contains an update on the Team Trials. As noted in the article, the final-final schedule will be published on USAWildwater.com at the end of next week.

USA Wildwater is working hard to be able to provide funding for our 2008 Senior and Junior Teams. This includes everything from uniforms to housing. We also hope to raise enough money to have a performance fund. This fund will help our top athletes offset some of their expenses as they compete at the World Championships this summer.

Nearly all funding for the Wildwater Team comes from individual or club sponsors so your help is key. We need an additional $10,000 to be able to fund the Team at a very modest level, so anything you can do to help would be truly appreciated by our athletes. Our time line for having the funds (or pledges) raised is before Senior Team Trails on April 4th. This is critical so we can let our athlete's know what to expect in the way of funding. A lack of funds will significantly diminish our ability to get racers to go to Europe.

Finally, we have some last minute news about the Nantahala Racing Club US Open and the MADS Codorus and Susquehanna Race. Both events are being held this weekend.
