Dear Wildwater Racers and Friends:

The 2006 USA Wildwater Nationals & Western Junior Team Trials are less than 2 weeks from now! There also are two training camps scheduled for the week leading up to these events. The training camps and the races are being held at the Arkansas River in Salida, Colorado. One training camp is being organized by Doug Ritchie, vice chairman of the USA Wildwater Committee and former national team member. The other training camp is being hosted by the Front Range Paddle Association (see for more about this camp).

FIBArk is hosting the USA Wildwater Nationals & Western Junior Team Trials in conjunction with the Annual FIBArk Whitewater Festival in Salida, Colorado. The 2006 festival is scheduled for June 14th thru the 18th. The US Nationals/Junior Team Trials are slated for June 16th and June 17th and the classic FIBArk downriver race will be held on Sunday June 18th.

It's also time to start planning for the 2007 Junior Wildwater World Championships. This is YOUR Chance To Race at the Worlds on your Home Soil (July 15-21, 2007)!

Check out the articles in this issue to learn more about all of these activities.
