Dear Wildwater Racers and Friends:

First, my apologies for not getting this update out to you sooner. Things have been hectic to say the least and unfortunately not with training (at least this year).

This is a big year for Wildwater in the US with the 2003 World Cup coming to our side of the pond. There is a tremendous amount of activity going on in Kernville, California and Terry Valle and her dedicated group of volunteers are sure to put on a great show.

Stay tuned to USAWildwater.com and http://www.kvrc.org/wildwater.htm for information updates. Be sure to read Bob Bofinger's letter to prospective US Team members regarding travel arrangements and team meetings.

If you are a Wildwater race organizer, please be sure to email your race information, consistent with the format found at our race schedule page, to me at michaelbeavers@attbi.com.

In this issue we also join Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine in honoring our own Chris Hipgrave as 2003 Southeastern Paddling Athlete of the Year. Cheers, my friend!

Happy training,

Michael Beavers
Editor, USAWildwater.com
