How I started paddling whitewater: I started kayaking in 1973 and competed in my first kayak competition in June 1973.

  • 1st place - S.E. Canoe and Kayak Championships in K-1 Wildwater 1974-1981
  • Member of the U.S. Wildwater Team 1980-1991
  • Won seven National Championship titles in C-2 Wildwater from 1985-1990
  • Two time Master National Champion in K-1
International Results:
  • Competed in six World Championships in C-2 Wildwater
  • Competed in five Pre-World Championships in K-1, C-1 and C-2
  • 10th place in the 1987 World Championships
  • 4th place in three World Championships in C-2 team competition
  • 2nd place in the 1988 Pre-Worlds in C-2 Wildwater team
  • 3rd place in the Grand Masters class in 2006 Wildwater World Championships, Karlovy Vary, CZ
  • 3rd place in the Grand Masters class in 2008 Wildwater World Championships, Ivera, Italy
